Wagoner County Sheriff Chris Elliott wants to remind you about the #9PMRoutine. Criminals are always looking for a car that has items to steal, and that makes it much easier if you leave your vehicle unlocked. This is why it is important to do you 9PMRoutine!!!
Set an alarm on your smart phone, watch, or any other alarm capable device to remind yourself every night to do the following:
1. Remove your purses, wallets, phones, GPS’s, Personal Weapons, Packages, ect. from your vehicles.
2. Ensure that all of the doors on your vehicle are locked and secure.
3. Check to make sure the doors, windows, and garage doors are locked and secure.
4. Turn on the front porch, back porch, and exterior lights to deter any would be burglar.
5. Arm your security system
6. If you see something suspicious, contact the Sheriff's Office.
Additionally, if you have been a victim of a burglary, please report this information. Even if the suspect did not take any property you are encouraged to contact the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office at 918-485-3124 to report the issue.
