On 04-05-2024 a child was brought into a local area Hospital Emergency Room that was suffering from medical issues.  When a medical checkup was completed, it was suspected that possible abuse may have occurred, resulting in medical staff contacting Law Enforcement to investigate due to the child’s injuries.

District # 27 Agent T. Saulsberry and Wagoner County Investigator J. Villavicencio contacted the Wagoner Department of Human Services to assist with the investigation.  Multiple interviews were conducted, and it was determined by investigators that the victim was abused by the individual identified as the suspect.  Doctors had confirmed 9 fractures on the victim that were in different stages of healing.  The suspect was identified as Daniel P Neighbors of Porter, OK. 

On 06-05-2024 Agent Saulsberry and Investigator Villavicencio obtained a warrant for the suspect and arrested him without incident at his residence in the Porter area.  Daniel Neighbors was transported to the Wagoner County Detention Center and booked into same.  He was charged with Child abuse by injury and enabling child abuse by another with $50,000 dollar bond set.   

On 06-07-2024 Agent Saulsberry and Investigator Villavicencio determined that the mother of the victim was aware that abuse was ongoing.  Due to the facts and circumstances of the case, charges were sought for the mother and a warrant was obtained.  The mother was identified as Kaydonna Ross of Porter, OK.  Agent Saulsberry, Investigator Villavicencio, and Sheriff Elliott took Kaydonna Ross into custody without incident and transported her to the Wagoner County Detention Center where she was booked into same.  She was charged with the following: Child abuse by injury and enabling child abuse by another.  She is being held on a 50,000 dollar bond.
