On 10-05-2023 Wagoner County K-9 Deputy Marque Baldwin instructed law enforcement officials from throughout the State of Oklahoma. Deputy Baldwin was invited to instruct on Defeating the Criminal Element: Deployment of the Police Working Dog at the 2023 Oklahoma Sheriff’s Association Annual Conference.
The class covered many K-9 law enforcement topics and allowed K-9 handlers, unit supervisors, and Sheriff’s and their administrators from throughout the state to network and share training to ensure an effective Law Enforcement K-9 program.
The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office in conjunction with Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association will be hosting a 1-week K-9 Problem Solving Workshop in Spring 2024, inviting fellow K-9 programs across Oklahoma. Deputy Baldwin is scheduled to instruct on the topic of Supervision of the K-9 Unit at the 2024 OSA Annual Conference.
The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Oklahoma Sheriffs’ Association for allowing Deputy Baldwin to represent the high level of rigorous training that Sheriff Elliott has implemented at the Wagoner County Sheriff's Office since becoming Sheriff.
